I was lucky enough to have horses inflicted on me by my mum, back many many years ago. However it was my current horse who introduced me to the world of barefoot.
Having tried for years to improve her feet, and failing miserably, my farrier and I made the decision to leave her barefoot purely because there was no hoof to nail to!
6 months later, and an improvement… The shoes went back on. But a light bulb had been turned on.
I have had my girl 17years, and she has taught me so much, but it was when I enrolled in the course with the EPT that the learning and discovery really started. That was back in 2011 and I’m proud to still be learning
